The Combined Art Societies of Sydney or CASS is run by a small group of volunteers who are dedicated and enthusiastic Art Society members.

Their aim is to unite and strengthen the standing of art societies in our community, to gain greater recognition for art societies, and to encourage a standard of excellence among individual artists within our societies. The CASS at this time has fifteen member societies.

The Art of Sydney Awards Exhibition

The annual Art of Sydney Awards Exhibition is a premier event showcasing the work of artists from the fourteen member societies which together are the Combined Art Societies of Sydney (CASS).

For 2021 CASS took the opportunity to take the Art of Sydney online! This exciting exhibition was a juried event and we are extremely pleased and honoured that renowned artist Mr John Haycraft was our judge.

The Best in Show, sponsored by The Art Scene, went to John Wilson for his work ‘Moody Morning – Capertee Valley’. All the awards are showcased on the exhibition site.

In 2022 CASS is pleased to announce the return of the Art of Sydney to the Australian National Maritime Museum (health restrictions permitting) as well as an ONLINE exhibition following the success of the 2021 event. More news about the Art of Sydney in the coming months.
